"Walk in song - a tribute to Barbara" with Catherine Colle
Saturday 11th September - 5pm
A gentle walk with several halts to listen to songs and readings.
A dialogue with this immense artist through selected extracts from her unfinished memoirs: "It was a black piano ...", the initiatory journey of an extraordinary vocation. Readings punctuated by key songs from her repertoire. A capella or accompanied on the guitar, the opportunity to discover or rediscover timeless texts and melodies. All the sensitivity and intensity of life… “of a woman who sings”.
Impregnated with songs from childhood, Catherine Colle developed a passion for French song very early on. In choir, solo, her voice weaves the thread of her life. After years of training in lyrical singing, she decided to explore “the great female repertoire” (Barbara, Anne Sylvestre, Maurane, Linda Lemay, etc.). She offers a very personal sensitivity to these timeless texts and melodies...with emotion behind them.
She likes to make Barbara's motto her own:
"Song is a conversation, it's not just singing, it's reaching out to others"
Durations : around 90 minutes
The walk will be followed by an aperitif.
